Education:
Sarwary attended Naderia High School in Kabul from 1977 to 1982. He then pursued his higher education at Kabul Polytechnic University, where he completed his Bachelor’s degree in Civil and Industrial Construction in 1995.

Work Experience:
Sarwary has held various positions throughout his career. From 2002 to 2020, he served as the Head of the Civil and Industrial Department at Kabul Polytechnic University. In this role, he was responsible for managing department sessions, representing the department, organizing work plans and agendas, and preparing documents for the appointment of new professors. He also played a key role in curriculum control and implementation, as well as organizing academic affairs. Sarwary actively participated in teaching courses on RCC (Reinforced Concrete Construction) and Earthquake Design.

Furthermore, Sarwary worked as an Engineer Researcher at the MINES ALES University of France from 2021 until the present. During his time there, he contributed to research activities in the field of engineering.

Initiatives and Achievements:
Throughout his career, Sarwary has been dedicated to the development and welfare of the departments he has worked in. He has performed structural design analysis and calculations, prepared detailed shop drawings for construction purposes, conducted architectural and life safety analysis, and prepared civil and site work plans and drawings. Sarwary has also been involved in the design of structural steel members, cold-formed steel, and reinforced concrete members according to relevant design codes. Additionally, he has experience in project planning and scheduling.

Publications:
Sarwary has made notable contributions to the field of earthquake engineering and construction industry in Afghanistan. He has published research papers on topics such as earthquake engineering practices and recommendations in Afghanistan, excessive bureaucracy in construction projects, and seismic retrofitting of residential buildings using textile reinforced mortar.

Skills:
Sarwary possesses excellent language skills in Dari, Pashto, and English, including reading, writing, speaking, and understanding. He is also proficient in various computer software programs such as MS Office, AutoCAD, SAP2000, ETABS, SAFE, and CSI Col.

Trainings:
Sarwary has attended several training programs, including “Multi-cultural Nation Building” at the University of Malaya in Malaysia, “Slob Stability and Ansis Software” at the School of Mines in Ales, France, and “Construction Management” facilitated by USAID at Kabul University’s Engineering Faculty.
